Giza, Egypt

The Pyramid of Khafre is the second-largest pyramid at Giza, built for Pharaoh Khafre around 2,500 BCE.
It appears taller than the Great Pyramid because it stands on higher ground and retains some of its original casing stones at the top.
In front of it lies the Great Sphinx, a colossal limestone statue with a lion’s body and a human head.
The Sphinx is believed to represent Pharaoh Khafre himself as a guardian of his pyramid complex.
Together, they symbolize the power and divine authority of ancient Egyptian kingship.
